Overview

Innophos is seeking a Maintenance Multi-Trades Craftsperson for their Chicago, Illinois facility. This role involves the maintenance and installation of plant equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform necessary work to repair, adjust, and conduct preventative maintenance on all plant equipment.
  • Install and repair electrical systems and components of industrial machinery and auxiliary equipment.
  • Conduct daily rounds throughout the production plant to discuss issues with operators and check instrumentation.
  • Change drive belts, motors, gearboxes, and pumps, and install new equipment.
  • Work in varying conditions, including hot and cold environments and awkward postures.
  • Replace motors and ensure proper alignment and tolerances.
  • Perform minor repairs to heavy equipment and test drive to determine problems.
  • Make repairs to buildings and facility structures as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma.
  • Specialized training (trade school, apprenticeships, etc.) preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of multi-craft experience required.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical and mechanical trades.
  • Good proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work independently and safely.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Dependable and team-oriented.

  • Monday to Friday, 1st Shift: 7:00 am-3:00 pm.
  • Wages start at $43.36/hour.
