Overview

The Machine Builder is responsible for constructing and assembling machinery to meet production standards and operational needs. This role is essential for ensuring that machines are accurately built, function efficiently, and comply with safety guidelines, supporting the overall productivity and success of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assembly components according to blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Accurately interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure precise assembly.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical issues during the assembly and installation process.
  • Work with engineering and design teams to refine machine designs and improve functionality.
  • Perform routine maintenance and necessary repairs to machinery.
  • Maintain detailed records of assembly processes and update technical manuals.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with machine assembly.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Machine Builder or in a similar role.

  • Employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air, fumes, or airborne particles.
  • Work may involve exposure to industrial environments.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally high requiring safety equipment to be utilized.
  • Candidate must be able to perform the physical responsibilities of the job utilizing arms, hands, and fingers to perform complex functions of manufacturing parts and performing other duties of the job.
  • Frequently move and maneuver on ladders of varying sizes.
  • Manual dexterity to manage tools and equipment.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
