Overview

Cooper Norcross Health is a leading academic health system in Camden, New Jersey, with over 14,000 team members and a strong focus on patient care. The Maintenance Mechanic II position involves performing diverse maintenance duties to ensure facility equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties of a Hospital Generalist 1.
  • Take daily calls and perform carpentry, electrical, painting, mechanical, and plumbing maintenance and repairs.
  • Replace switches, ballasts, and fire alarm initiating devices.
  • Repair or replace shower diverters, pull and reinstall toilets, and operate drain machines.
  • Start or restart chillers and AHUs without assistance.
  • Troubleshoot alarms on the building BAS and make repairs without assistance.
  • Troubleshoot and make repairs on the hospital tube system without assistance.
  • Install shelving, paint and patch, repair or replace door hardware, sliding doors, and window shades.
  • Perform TJC inspections and maintenance rounds.
  • Schedule and perform preventive maintenance procedures for buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  • Ensure building and equipment meet all safety and fire regulations and policies.
  • Responsible for shift coverages.
  • Work on the snow removal team.

Requirements

  • 5 years related experience.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Additional Information

  • This position will be on call on a rotating schedule.
