Overview
Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a supplier of power generation services, is seeking both entry-level and experienced machinists (Blenders) for precision turbine machining. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a non-climate environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform setups and adjustments, and operate shop and portable machine tools to repair turbine components.
- Conduct structural material removal and polishing to restore component integrity.
- Maintain and complete all documentation associated with work assignments.
- Perform alloy metals blending for turbine parts and products.
- Install and machine various types of turbine buckets and blades.
- Evaluate bucket conditions and discuss needed repairs with customers.
- Follow detailed work instructions and safety protocols.
- Function as a cross-functional team member and demonstrate blending process skills.
- Perform related tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime when required.
- Knowledge of arithmetic and basic geometry.
- Experience level I - no experience required, level II - minimum 2 years’ experience, level III - minimum 5 years’ experience.
