As a Structural Engineering Professional in the NE Region, you will perform structural analysis and design, collaborating closely with a team to deliver world-class designs for industry-leading clients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design under general supervision.
  • Plan and conduct work requiring judgement in the independent evaluation and selection of engineering techniques.
  • Exercise sound engineering judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess knowledge of principles and practices of lateral analysis and design, including building code provisions.
  • Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control.
  • Perform calculation checking of other engineers' work.
  • Manage workload and take full ownership of assigned work.
  • Clearly define your own scope and develop the ability to forecast effort needed to complete that scope.
  • Identify scope changes and escalate them to your Structural Lead.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and/or mentorship to designers/drafters and less experienced engineers.
  • Be proactive in advancing workflows, systems, and tools within the structural discipline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer License (PE or PEng).
  • At least 10 years of Structural Engineering experience.
  • Experience with US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
  • Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam.
  • Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
