Overview

Linde Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician in New York, NY, responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting air separation plants at customer sites. The role requires independent diagnosis and resolution of equipment and process issues, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot air separation plants at customer sites.
• Serve as the primary technician responsible for assigned plant locations.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment and process issues independently.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration on compressors, gas analyzers, electrical control systems, and pneumatic control valves.
• Monitor plant performance and implement actions to maintain or improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage daily work schedules, maintenance activities, and operational priorities.
• Coordinate internal teams and external contractors for maintenance, repairs, and audits.
• Maintain accurate operational logs, maintenance records, and compliance documentation.
• Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and leadership regarding plant status and issues.
• Support multiple locations as needed, including occasional travel outside assigned area.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new technicians when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; associate’s degree in a technical field preferred.
• Two to five (2–5) years of operations or technical experience preferred.
• Ability to safely perform physical job requirements, including driving a service vehicle and lifting weights.
• Performing hands-on work using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to perform administrative tasks and computer work as needed.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation with 24/7 availability.

• Pay commensurate with experience, with a salary range of $53,625 - $78,650.
