Overview

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) is a critical TechOps role at Delta, responsible for maintaining the proper and safe functioning of Delta’s fleet to ensure an exceptional travel experience for customers. AMTs perform inspections, repairs, and modifications on aircraft and components according to Delta and FAA specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work activities in accordance with established laws, regulations, standards, safety protocols, and procedures.
• Inspect aircraft or aircraft components for damage, defects, corrosion, or other wear.
• Recommend replacement, repair, or modification of aircraft equipment based on inspection.
• Report issues, malfunctions, unusual wear, or damage to appropriate personnel.
• Install, remove, or modify aircraft structures, systems, or components following technical documents.
• Repair worn, defective, or damaged parts or components using hand tools and testing equipment.
• Inspect completed work to certify adherence to standards and procedures.
• Interpret discrepancies or logs to troubleshoot issues and identify required next steps.
• Research and interpret technical manuals and guidelines for inspections and repairs.
• Review maintenance records to ensure service and maintenance checks were performed.
• Maintain repair logs documenting all preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Serve as a technical expert or mentor by providing advice and recommendations.
• Use technology to enter, document, access, and communicate information.
• Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes.

Requirements

• Must have an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
