Overview

The Part Finisher (Machinist) - 3rd Shift role involves completing various part finishing tasks under direct supervision. Candidates should have basic mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools and powered equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Perform visual and functional in-process inspections and record results.
  • Set work priorities and schedules.
  • Perform full machine setups.
  • Provide leadership and training to lower-level employees.
  • Complete production paperwork and operation audits.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Basic inspection processes knowledge including tools and measurements.
  • Advanced understanding of machine function and setups.
  • Advanced knowledge of tools such as drills, reams, and taps.
  • Strong communication skills with manufacturing engineers, QA, and management.
  • Typically 2-4 years of recent and relevant work experience or training.
  • High School Diploma or GED is expected.
