Overview

The 2nd Shift Welder position involves assisting in the timely production of welded parts while ensuring quality standards are met. The role requires performing various welding operations and participating in safety and maintenance practices within a non-temperature controlled manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG, hand and robotic welding operations to produce product at the required production and quality level.
  • Perform inspection on product utilizing total quality concepts.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
  • Accurately report daily activities on work orders and other media as required.
  • Conduct required quality checks using basic measurement equipment.
  • Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
  • Exercise safe working habits while operating machines, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of safety culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Prior welding experience required.
  • Ability to pass welding certification test.
  • Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment.
  • Must follow all safety practices and policies.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints and geometric tolerances.
  • Must be able to physically lift 65 lbs.
