Overview

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (AQN) is a diversified international utility committed to providing safe, reliable, and cost-effective energy and water solutions. The Utility Person II role involves physical labor related to water services and requires a valid New York State driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and investigate water leaks and no water complaints.
  • Perform hydrant flushing, water main and services mark outs, and meter changes.
  • Engage in outside physical labor related to the installation of piping, fire hydrants, services, and appurtenances.
  • Use and operate various tools and equipment for installing, maintaining, and operating facilities.

Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain a valid New York State driver's license.
  • Required to become computer literate and learn the Mobile Work Management Program by the end of the probationary period.

  • Position may involve working Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm or on a rotating shift schedule including weekends and holidays.
