Dematic

Overview

Dematic is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor to join their growing team. This position involves working on various customer projects across different locations in the continental USA, requiring 100% travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure installation quality on the project site, including manufacturing and subcontractor quality.
• Manage quality checklists and submit Corrective Actions for identified discrepancies.
• Oversee on-site safety, including conducting safety audits.
• Assist with routine equipment trial runs to ensure specifications are met and equipment is installed to Dematic standards.
• Provide on-site reporting on schedule and resources to the project manager and/or customer.
• Train contract labor and subcontractors in the installation of Dematic and other material handling equipment.
• Write concise, clear, and complete trip reports according to Dematic procedures.
• Identify problems as they occur and suggest appropriate solutions.
• Be prepared to travel on short notice and spend up to 100% of the time traveling.
• Perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, crawling, squatting, and walking around large construction sites.

Requirements

• Minimum of ten years experience in troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
• Service experience with AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyors is helpful.
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience with quality assurance.
• OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts.
• Proficient in using personal computers, database functions, and communications.
• Understanding of personal computer hardware setup and software configuration required.
