Overview

The Cut-To-Length Helper position involves assisting operators in safely loading and processing steel into sheets using a Cut-To-Length machine. The role is situated in a dynamic environment with exposure to various working conditions, and it emphasizes a culture of safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Cut-To-Length Operators in loading steel onto machines.
  • Decoiling steel from large coils.
  • Cut steel into sheets according to customer specifications.
  • Follow all safety policies and safe work practices.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic literacy for reading instructions and using hand tools.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience using machinery, overhead cranes, and ground operated equipment preferred.
