Job Description

Overview

Fluidstack is focused on delivering large-scale compute infrastructure for AI, aiming to enhance human freedom through technology. The Designer/Detailer role is crucial for producing detailed mechanical and structural models for factory-built data center units.

Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed mechanical and structural models and drawings for factory construction.
  • Detail steel and mechanical systems to fabrication level with complete specifications.
  • Update drawing packages quickly in response to engineering changes while maintaining revision control.
  • Enforce standards, libraries, and templates to improve detailing efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experience detailing for fabrication in structural steel, skids, piping, or modular assemblies.
  • Ability to produce drawings that shops can build from without additional communication.
  • Knowledge of modeling standards and library discipline under pressure.
  • Capability to manage revisions efficiently during engineering changes.
  • Understanding of fabrication processes including welds, bends, tolerances, and clearances.
  • Familiarity with Tekla or Advance Steel, plant and BIM modeling, and AISC detailing standards is a bonus.
