Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Field Engineer to support expansion and infrastructure improvement projects at the JFK Energy Center located at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Jamaica, NY. The Mechanical Field Engineer will support the installation, construction, and commissioning of equipment associated with hot water production, chilled water generation, and thermal distribution systems serving the airport.

Responsibilities

  • Support the installation, construction, and commissioning of equipment for hot water production and chilled water generation.
  • Work closely with construction, operations, and engineering teams to ensure project execution.
  • Ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with quality standards.

Requirements

  • 7-12 years of mechanical construction or field engineering experience.
  • Experience supporting industrial, utility, or power generation projects.
  • Understanding of medium-temperature hot water generation and distribution systems.
  • Experience with industrial chillers and chilled water production systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and construction documents.
  • Strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Experience coordinating construction activities with contractors and project teams.
