Overview

A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain production equipment and facilities as they continue to grow. The role involves performing inspections, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with the engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular inspections on machinery and systems to detect any malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues in a timely manner.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure longevity and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to understand machinery operations for effective maintenance.
  • Maintain a record of all maintenance and repair work for reference.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements and upgrades to existing machinery.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting and repair.
  • A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the industry.
  • Solid understanding of blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
