Overview

As a Maintenance Repairman 2 with the Southeastern Veterans' Center, you will help maintain buildings, equipment, and grounds essential to the facility, supporting a safe and dependable environment for all who rely on the center. This role requires craftsmanship and responsibility in solving problems and making repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Repair doors, furniture, and partitions using power and hand tools.
  • Install circuits, fixtures, and outlets and repair motors and related systems.
  • Fix fixtures, open drains, and install pipe for water and steam lines.
  • Maintain heating, cooling, and refrigeration units and repair cooking equipment.
  • Cut grass, trim shrubbery, and keep outdoor areas free of debris.
  • Use protective gear and follow safety rules while addressing hazards.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 or equivalent.
  • Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work involving at least two trades.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.

  • Full-time employment (7.5 hours per day; 37.5 hours per week).
  • Work hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Required to work every other weekend.
  • No telework option available.
  • Starting annual salary of $41,506.00.
