Overview

Army plumbers and pipe fitters are responsible for installing and repairing plumbing and pipe systems. This role involves maintaining heating systems, water supply, and distribution systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain heating systems, basic water supply and water distribution systems.
  • Install and repair pipe systems for waste water.
  • Perform basic plumbers repair and maintenance.
  • Maintain plumbing fixtures, pipes, stacks, brackets, traps, vents, and insulation.
  • Read and interpret construction plans and drawings.

Requirements

  • Must meet DoD requirements.
  • Must take the ASVAB to identify suitable Army jobs.
  • Completion of 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training.
