Overview

Gwynedd Manufacturing is a growing defense contractor in North Wales, PA, dedicated to producing quality products for the U.S. Department of Defense and various U.S. Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. They are seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to support the maintenance, repair, and operation of company vehicles, trailers, and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair company vehicles, including pickup trucks and other fleet vehicles.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine mechanical services to ensure company vehicles remain safe and operational.
  • Identify mechanical and electrical issues and determine appropriate repairs.
  • Perform repairs involving engines, brakes, suspension, steering, electrical systems, cooling systems, and other vehicle components as qualified.
  • Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify potential maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain and repair trailers and other company-owned equipment as needed.
  • Safely operate company vehicles, pickup trucks, trailers, and other equipment.
  • Transport materials, equipment, and other items between company facilities, vendors, customers, and other locations as needed.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, securing, and transporting materials and equipment.
  • Support shop operations with a variety of mechanical, maintenance, and hands-on tasks.
  • Assist other departments with equipment-related troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Maintain an organized and safe work area, including proper care and storage of tools and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, parts, and service activities.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors or repair facilities when repairs or services require specialized support.
  • Maintain awareness of vehicle and equipment condition and communicate maintenance needs to management.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
