Overview

Fluidics Inc., a subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc., provides mechanical and facilities services, energy solutions, and more. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of building systems, responding to service calls, and performing preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and daily building and grounds inspections.
  • Repair restroom fixtures and clear drain obstructions.
  • Troubleshoot minor electrical circuits.
  • Perform minor electrical tasks including bulb and ballast replacement.
  • Execute minor carpentry tasks such as ceiling tile replacement and door hardware repairs.
  • Operate sprinkler and alarm systems, placing them out of service for testing.
  • Paint equipment for corrosion protection.
  • Inspect mechanical and electrical systems, record inspections, and write reports.
  • Requisition necessary materials for repairs.
  • Perform additional duties as required within contractual obligations.

Requirements

  • Mechanical Trades or Trade School training.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in maintenance and repair of building systems.
  • Familiarity with operation of building auxiliary systems.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Ability to write and execute written and oral instructions.
  • Valid driver's license for driving assigned vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of safe work practices for maintenance operations.
  • Ability to safely wear a respirator, climb ladders, and lift heavy objects.
  • Skillful use of hand and power tools.
