Overview

PBS Aerospace is a rapidly growing designer and manufacturer of world-class small turbojet engines, seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join their dynamic team. The role involves the assembly, maintenance, and testing of jet engines and systems, contributing to the company's mission of supporting advanced U.S. defense strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test and repair jet engine components and systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on jet engine equipment.
• Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting issues with engine systems.
• Read, interpret, and follow detailed technical manuals and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and repair.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement and improve testing procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
• Operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Aerospace Technology, Aviation Maintenance, or a related field.
• Experience in the automobile assembly field of 3+ years can substitute an associate's degree.
• Proven experience as an Aerospace Technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of aerospace systems and components.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and blueprints.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work standing for up to 8hrs per day.
• Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
