Overview

H 2 O is a smart water treatment solutions company focused on integrating advanced technologies to address water challenges. They are seeking a Junior Commissioning Specialist to support the onsite commissioning and startup of water treatment projects in Ramsey, Minnesota.

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience in liquid treatment process technologies for industrial and municipal applications.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at H2O manufacturing facilities.
  • Lead Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and organize treatment system start-ups at customer project sites.
  • Review equipment installations and conduct pre-commissioning inspections.
  • Serve as the main onsite resource for customer inquiries regarding applications.
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and control functions of equipment.
  • Execute startup procedures and conduct performance testing to ensure compliance.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
  • Optimize and maintain equipment, including chemical dosing systems.
  • Provide operating advice and train clients on minor repairs.
  • Deliver classroom and hands-on training to owners and operators.
  • Adjust PLC, HMI, and VFD programs as necessary.
  • Prepare detailed technical summaries, commissioning reports, and operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety guidelines throughout the commissioning process.

Requirements

  • Relevant technical site experience in testing, operations, design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Relevant degree in Science/Engineering or a Technical Certificate in Instrumentation, Controls, or Water Treatment Operations.
  • Technical or Vocational Degree in Industrial Mechanics is also acceptable.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel unrestricted in the USA and Canada, with 80% travel required.
  • Eligibility to work on client sites and meet access requirements, including background checks.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of water treatment processes and technologies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to meet customer site access requirements and maintain safety standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and managerial skills.
  • Autonomous, resourceful, and meticulous work ethic.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of various PLC programming software is an asset.
  • Experience with UF, RO, MBR technologies, and related equipment is an asset.
