Overview

My client is a leading manufacturing company who is growing and is looking to add a Maintenance Mechanic focused on maintaining production equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Performing regular inspections on machinery and systems to detect any malfunctions.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure their longevity and optimal performance.
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to understand machinery operations and layout for effective maintenance.
  • Maintaining a record of all maintenance and repair work for reference and future use.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Assisting in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
  • Providing recommendations for improvements and upgrades to existing machinery and systems.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting and repair.
  • A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the industry.
  • Solid understanding of blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
