Overview

At Albertsons Companies, we are looking for an entry-level Maintenance Mechanic to provide mechanical and electrical support within a dairy processing and manufacturing plant. Responsibilities

• Conduct a thorough walkthrough and assessment of all equipment, both in operation and shut down.
• Perform routine mechanical and electrical repairs on equipment as required.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment as required.
• Conduct troubleshooting on all malfunctioning and/or out-of-service equipment.
• Provide mechanical assistance to various plant Operators in troubleshooting and repairing equipment as needed.
• Monitor and maintain plant systems and subsystems to operate various equipment.
• Be available to work shifts to fulfill personnel slotting requirements as directed.

Requirements

• Some Technical Colleges or Trade School in an Engineering Discipline.
• Strong Mechanical and Electrical aptitude.
• General knowledge of plant equipment including boiler operations, heat exchangers, material control, refrigeration, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and electrical distribution.
• Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook programs.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles.
• 5 plus years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in working with Allen-Bradley.
• Understanding of circuits.
• Proficient in electrical and electronic circuits, sensors, and encoders.
• Strong technical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours and willingness to work overtime as required.
