Job Description

Overview

At Endress+Hauser, the global leader in measurement instrumentation, we are looking for a 2nd Shift Welder to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in our production processes. This position offers opportunities to develop technical skills and contribute to the success of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Apply methods to ensure actual welds meet both physical strength and aesthetic requirements.
  • Conduct pre and post weld surface preparation; cleaning, brushing, grinding, etc.
  • Ensure proper tool selection and set-up, torch tips, filler rod, amperage, voltage, slope, pulse, etc.
  • Determine the correct equipment and technique to be utilized for each task (Gas, MIG, TIG, etc.).
  • Determine and implement proper physical set-up/alignment; jigs, fixtures, clamps, etc.
  • Perform regular preventative and routine maintenance on machines and tools required to accomplish daily tasks.
  • Inspect and approve welds performed by yourself and others.
  • Perform repairs of weldments.
  • Perform required safety measures necessary to protect both the operators and others.
  • Maintain necessary documentation to support certification requirements.
