Overview

Valinor is a defense and government tech company founded in 2024, focused on solving unaddressed problems in the sector. They are seeking a Drone Assembly Technician to support the manufacturing of autonomous VTOL aircraft for defense and enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform precision mechanical assembly of small UAS platforms and subassemblies
  • Conduct electrical assembly, including soldering and wiring
  • Support component/assembly testing
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve assembly or integration issues with engineering support
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop in accordance with ESD and safety protocols
  • Support continuous improvement in assembly processes and documentation

Requirements

  • Experience with mechanical and/or electrical assembly
  • Proficiency in soldering and wiring for small electronics
  • Familiarity with 3D printing, drones, UAS, robotics, or RC systems strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and follow technical assembly instructions, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment

Additional Information

  • Position will start as a 3-month contract role, with potential to convert to full-time based on performance and business needs
