Overview

At Delta Air Lines, the Unit Load Device (ULD) repair mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of over 22,000 Delta ULDs, ensuring safety and compliance with FAA and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Repair/assemble ULDs including aluminum and lightweight containers and heavy-duty pallets.
  • Perform pallet straightening.
  • Maintain shop and facility cleanliness.
  • Ensure system security of the electronic recordkeeping system for maintenance actions.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Leads and Department Managers.

Requirements

  • Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be proficient in English.
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance practices surrounding safety and tool control.
  • Ability to conduct inspections and perform repairs which frequently require motions such as bending, kneeling or crouching.
  • Be willing to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
