Overview

The Dixon Group is seeking a highly motivated Welder to join their production team in Houston, TX. This role involves executing high-quality welds and preparing materials for the creation of essential industrial products, with a focus on precision and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform production-level MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding on specialized industrial fluid transfer products.
  • Utilize oxygen/acetylene torches to cut metals and operate hand/power grinding tools.
  • Execute essential pre-weld processes, including sandblasting, grinding, and manual machining.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
  • Inspect finished welds for quality assurance and perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Successful completion of a formal vocational/technical welding program or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Proven professional production welding experience using MIG and TIG processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
  • Ability to safely lift and manipulate materials and stand for extended periods.
  • Welding certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.

What you'll be running

It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
