Overview

KBR is seeking an Advanced Program Support Technician to support the SPACE SUIT DESIGN TEAM within KBR’s Science and Space division. The role involves manufacturing, building, testing, and maintenance of aerospace flight hardware, focusing on various components and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing, maintenance, assembly, testing, repair and processing of hardware to support various events and deliverables.
  • Operation of machine equipment including 3D printers, RF welding machines, fabric laser and wheel cutters.
  • Assist engineers in locating and diagnosing anomalies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Read engineering drawings/schematics, equipment specifications, and test procedures.
  • Complete specified training online and in classroom to maintain certifications.
  • Update various job-related databases daily.
  • Adhere to Quality and Safety requirements.
  • Transport hardware to various events using a motor vehicle.
  • Communicate daily with technicians, leads, engineers, managers, and customers.

Requirements

  • Must pass a Class III Physical, Physiological Training, and Clean Room and Controlled Work Area Training.
  • Excellent mechanical skills and ability to read and execute detailed technical procedures and engineering drawings.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record and ability to operate a government vehicle.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to work in a team environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
