Overview

Penn Terminals LLC is seeking a Crane Mechanic to join their team, dedicated to efficiently and safely moving global trade. The company has been providing reliable terminal, warehousing, and stevedoring services since 1986.

Responsibilities

  • Provide service to STS and RTG cranes.
  • Perform periodical maintenance at scheduled intervals.
  • Observe and report issues to minimize downtime.
  • Inspect tools and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Work safely to minimize hazards.
  • Work from heights as required.
  • Maintain equipment according to maintenance schedules.
  • Repair electrical and electronic malfunctions.
  • Perform emergency repairs to return equipment to operation.
  • Operate tools to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
  • Understand crane functions and communicate with team and operators.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years electrical and mechanical experience.
  • Ability to follow safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to acquire complex mechanical/computer skills.
  • Ability to record information properly.
  • Ability to establish good working relations with coworkers and customers.
  • Ability to acquire a TWIC card.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs when assistance is unavailable.
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime as required.

Compensation

  • $27-$31/hour
