Overview

Bodycote, the world’s largest provider of thermal processing services, is seeking a Braze Set Up C for their Rancho Dominguez, CA location. This position is safety-sensitive and involves performing essential job functions related to braze treatment under the direction of the Production Manager.

Responsibilities

• Braze setup of customer parts according to written requirements/specifications.
• Torch braze of customer parts according to written requirements/specifications.
• Induction braze of customer parts according to written requirements/specifications.
• Braze assembly of customer parts in the Belt department.
• Operate and monitor Belt Furnace when customer parts are running.
• Work with various alloys and chemicals, including but not limited to flux and acetone.
• Perform sandblasting and polishing on materials to ensure they are free from foreign objects, contaminants, and surface imperfections.
• Safely handle chemicals and other solvents required for different fabrication processes.
• Utilize high-heat tools such as lightweight torch gun and induction machines.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality control standards.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Preform other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in Manufacturing/Aerospace environment.
• Braze experience highly preferred.
• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required.
• Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience of computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required.

Additional Information

• This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay.
• Benefits eligibility begins on day 61 of employment.
