Overview

The 1st Shift Facilities Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and upgrades of Perrigo’s utility systems across multiple buildings. This includes a variety of systems such as HVAC, electrical panels, plumbing, and general housekeeping tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot Perrigo’s utility systems in compliance with applicable codes and state requirements.
  • Perform utility systems rebuilding, installation, upgrades, and preventative maintenance.
  • Complete general work orders and collaborate with other technicians across shifts.
  • Execute special projects and other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalency required.
  • Five years of solid work experience in maintenance skills or three years as a Perrigo Set Up Tech with relevant education.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) background desirable.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Suite and experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) required.
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints.
  • Demonstrated commitment to meeting schedules and deadlines.

  • This is a Union Position.
  • Pay Range: $28.00.
  • Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 6am - 2:30pm.
