Overview

The Plant Operations Specialist at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for operating, maintaining, and mastering various trades including electrical, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC within the Medical Center's facilities. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and adherence to codes while contributing to the mission of transforming healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and master electrical systems including installation, repair, and troubleshooting of circuits.
  • Install and repair structural components such as ceilings, partitions, and drywall.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance including preventive maintenance on motors, pumps, and HVAC systems.
  • Conduct plumbing tasks including repairs to piping, sinks, and toilets.
  • Respond quickly to maintenance requests and complete preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Observe safety standards and perform snow removal duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in trades including electrical, structural, mechanical, plumbing, or pipe fitting.
