Job Description

Overview

Arup is seeking a Senior Bridge and Civil Structures Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team in New York, focusing on the design and construction of critical infrastructure projects. The role involves collaboration with public and private sector clients to enhance railway operations and contribute to sustainable development.

Responsibilities

  • Design structural elements and lead design work on defined tasks under the supervision of a project director.
  • Prepare and review drawings detailing the systems designed.
  • Develop analysis models and calculations, including scripting and code writing.
  • Write reports.
  • Manage projects, leading local and regional design teams.
  • Interface with clients.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in bridge and/or heavy infrastructure concrete and steel design and engineering.
  • Experience working with agencies in the Tri-State area and/or on complex bridge projects is considered an asset.
  • PE designation is desired.
  • Strong communication skills and excellent planning and organizational abilities.
  • Must be highly motivated, proactive, and willing to tackle new challenges.
