Overview

AEIS is seeking an ICC certified Bolting Inspector to support infrastructure projects in the NY/NJ Metro Area. The role focuses on ensuring quality, durability, and compliance through field inspections and testing, while offering opportunities for career growth within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural bolting inspections in compliance with ICC, AISC, DOT, and project-specific standards
  • Observe and verify bolt installations and torque-testing operations
  • Monitor compliance with safety and quality requirements on-site
  • Identify and document deficiencies and corrective actions
  • Submit daily inspection reports within 8 hours with minimal revisions
  • Maintain 90%+ completion of all assigned safety training
  • Achieve less than 1 serious issue per quarter related to inspections, measuring, and test equipment due to technician error
  • Maintain accurate inspection records using AEIS digital reporting tools
  • Review and verify technical documents such as WPS/PQR and lab results
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and QA/QC Specialists
  • Contribute to lessons-learned discussions and workflow improvements

Requirements

  • ICC Structural Steel & Bolting Certification (Active)
  • 1–10 years of field experience in structural inspection
  • OSHA 30 Construction Safety Training (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong communication and attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel to project sites
