Overview

This position offers an exciting opportunity with a rapidly growing pharmaceutical manufacturer, focusing on the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and response to alarms of building utility systems under the supervision of the Maintenance and Utilities Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain building utility systems including water chillers and cooling towers.
  • Maintain logs and complete documentation in a cGMP compliant manner.
  • Perform maintenance on equipment and facilities as required.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain high purity water systems.
  • Conduct daily tours of utility equipment and report issues.
  • Prepare utility equipment for modifications and perform necessary shutdowns.
  • Perform routine testing of water systems and maintain chemical treatment parameters.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping conditions in mechanical rooms.
  • Provide guidance to General Workers and Maintenance personnel.
  • Complete department training requirements and participate in safety initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED).
  • State Stationary Engineer Seal or equivalent certification.
  • Graduation from a recognized trade school with emphasis on industrial power plant and refrigeration equipment operations.
  • Three years recent experience operating industrial power plant equipment and controls.
  • Ability to analyze equipment and take corrective measures.
  • Familiarity with blueprints, control drawings, and maintenance procedures.

Additional Information

  • Position may include heavy lifting and work in hot and cold environments.
  • Required to take immunizations as prescribed by the company's Health Services Department.
  • Position is subject to a probationary period.
