Overview

Sunbelt Rentals is a leading equipment rental company in North America, seeking a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and advanced repairs on various equipment at customer locations. The role offers opportunities for skill development in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment at customer locations.
  • Diagnose and make advanced repairs on various makes and models of equipment.
  • Work in challenging remote locations.
  • Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
  • 1-2 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment or heavy construction equipment preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; CDL license may be required in some locations.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs.
