Overview

Beyond Meat, Inc. is a plant protein company focused on creating high-quality plant-based products. They are seeking a Refrigeration & HVAC Technician to join their Maintenance Team in Devault, PA, responsible for maintaining HVAC systems and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults on all HVAC systems.
• Test setups for air or gas leaks using specialized pressure gauges.
• Check refrigerant levels and recharge systems according to SOPs and environmental guidelines.
• Experience in welding, brazing, and soldering piping.
• Identify maintenance risks on equipment.
• Clean, adjust, and repair condenser and evaporator coils.
• Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain equipment for manufacturing and distributing safe quality food.
• Maximize OEE and fulfill preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Setup and operate various power tools and equipment.
• Participate in energy efficiency and cost-saving projects.
• Operate powered industrial equipment.
• Adhere to all facility policies concerning safety and security.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• 5+ years experience as an HVAC technician.
• Possess a Type 4 Universal EPA certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
• Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems.
• Sheet metal fabrication; welding (TIG, MIG, Stick experience needed); soldering.
• Arc flashing training / OSHA knowledge.
• CMMS software knowledge.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
• Knowledge/experience in food/beverage manufacturing facility.
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.

Additional Information

• Position located in a mix of production and office environments.
• Work environment includes both tempered and ambient areas.
• Position requires the ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to occasionally climb stairs or a ladder.
• Requires tolerance for consistent cold work environments (-10-40˚ F) and varying room temperatures.
• Required to work outside in external temperatures from below freezing to extreme heat.
