Overview

Smurfit Westrock is a leader in sustainable packaging, dedicated to creating efficient paper and packaging solutions. The Électromécanicien position involves maintaining production equipment at the Ville Mont-Royal facility, which employs over 150 people.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and ensure optimal performance of production and support equipment.
  • Install, modify, repair, and maintain printing and conversion machinery.
  • Respond to maintenance requests based on priorities.
  • Participate in developing and updating preventive and predictive maintenance procedures.
  • Locate, install, modify, replace, repair, and maintain piping, ductwork, and heating systems.
  • Clean and lubricate pumps, compressors, and other equipment.
  • Use measuring devices and take appropriate readings.
  • Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plans.
  • Requisition parts according to available catalogs.
  • Support production employees in daily operational tasks.

Requirements

  • DEP in Électromécanique de système automatisée.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the industry.
  • Versatility and strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, motors, and control panels.
  • Team spirit and good oral and written communication skills.
  • Resourcefulness and ability to work autonomously.
