Overview

A leading food manufacturer is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians for 1st and 2nd shifts, offering excellent pay and benefits. The company specializes in fresh and frozen premium food products and values its employees as the lifeblood of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and preventative maintenance work on production and packaging equipment.
• Maintain records of repairs, parts inventory, and modifications of equipment.
• Assist with setup and movement of equipment during change-overs or expansion.
• Maintain tools and maintenance shop in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
• Provide emergency repairs of equipment and perform scheduled maintenance repairs.
• Perform mechanical jobs including troubleshooting and repair of machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and test and adjust equipment.
• Perform general plumbing maintenance, electrical, and carpentry functions.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean work areas.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED; completion of a mechanical trade strongly preferred.
• Experience as a production or industrial mechanic technician, preferably in the food industry.
• Electrical troubleshooting knowledge on multiple voltages and ability to read electrical prints.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently and as a team player.
• Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing.
• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
• Ability to maintain organization of maintenance schedules and files.
• Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
• Knowledge of workplace compliance regulations and legislation.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Excellent time management and project management skills.
• High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning.
• Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), preferably in a food manufacturing facility.
• Highly punctual.
