Overview

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Trailer Technician/Mechanic to join their team in Keasbey, NJ. This position offers a great opportunity for those who enjoy troubleshooting mechanical issues and keeping fleet vehicles running reliably.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailers
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
  • Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
  • Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience performing strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with major body repairs, including side panels, roof replacements, nose rails, and floor sections
  • Welding experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to own and maintain personal tools and toolbox required for the role
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
  • Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical if required

Additional Information

  • Pay $28.00 - $32.00/hour (based on experience)
  • Weekly pay - every Friday
  • Schedule Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday 11:00 pm - 7:30 am
