Overview

The Maintenance Technician position at Bauer Consulting Group, Inc. involves troubleshooting and repairing various types of equipment in the food processing and packaging industry. The role is based in the Wayne, NJ area and requires a range of mechanical and electrical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair food processing and packaging equipment.
  • Update computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Perform facilities and grounds maintenance including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and lighting.
  • Work with programmable logic controls (PLC), VFD, photo sensors, motors, and gears.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings of OEM specs.
  • Utilize welding and fabricating skills including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.

Requirements

  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Knowledge of food processing and packaging equipment.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Skills in plumbing, carpentry, painting, and lighting maintenance.
  • Experience with programmable logic controls (PLC) and variable frequency drives (VFD).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Welding and fabricating experience with MIG, TIG, and arc methods.
