Overview

At Union Beverage Packers, LLC, the maintenance team is crucial for ensuring safe and consistent production. The Beverage Plant Equipment Maintenance Technician role focuses on minimizing downtime and enhancing equipment reliability in a fast-paced beverage manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for production equipment and plant machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair issues across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration.
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance to extend asset life.
  • Reduce downtime through fast, accurate troubleshooting and repair.
  • Support installations, modifications, commissioning, and changeovers.
  • Read and apply mechanical drawings, schematics, manuals, and technical references.
  • Conduct daily inspections and communicate major findings to Maintenance leadership.
  • Provide hands-on support for blow molders, fillers, conveyors, palletizers, and packaging systems.
  • Open and close work orders and maintain precise records of work performed.
  • Respond effectively during breakdowns and high-pressure scenarios.
  • Model safety, GMP, food safety, quality, sanitation, and company policies.
  • Keep the work environment clean, organized, and safe.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Industrial maintenance or related mechanical/manufacturing equipment background.
  • Sharp troubleshooting skills and a bias for action.
  • Independence and urgency when equipment issues arise.
  • Ability to commit to at least 48 hours per week and work overtime/weekends/holidays as needed.
  • Safe work habits around moving production machinery.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, push, and pull.
  • Lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Comfort with warm, loud, wet, fast-paced environments.
  • Willingness to wear all required PPE.

  • Pay: $25.00–$45.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Schedule: All shifts are open; largest need is on 3rd shift
  • Hours: Minimum 48 hours per week
