Overview

Hyperion Solutions is seeking experienced manual machinists for Titan Machine Corp. as they expand their team of metalworking craftsmen. The position focuses on machining, repairing, and reconditioning elevator sheave parts used in vertical transportation equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Read and use precision measuring instruments for elevator sheave inspection.
  • Operate, set up, and maintain manual machine tools for elevator sheave machining.
  • Review drawings, blueprints, work orders, and samples to ensure parts are machined to required specifications.
  • Perform machining operations on elevator sheaves, including turning, bore clean-up, and groove repair.
  • Check elevator sheave output for quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a related machine shop environment required.
  • Experience with large manual machine tools, mechanical assemblies, and heavy rotating components.
  • Elevator sheave, traction sheave, deflector sheave experience highly preferred.
  • Experience setting up and operating Bullard vertical turret lathes preferred.
  • Ability to inspect sheave grooves, bores, faces, runout, and document findings accurately.
