Overview

The Laboratory Technician I Contractor in the Materials & Characterization R&D group will conduct testing and experiments, write technical reports, and support test request workflows in a medical devices company. This role ensures compliance with quality and safety regulations while actively engaging in continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct bench-level engineering tests and research experiments.
  • Support the workflow process for materials R&D labs including instrument operation and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with quality policies and safety regulations.
  • Engage stakeholders effectively and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Actively seek training to improve skills and disseminate technical lessons.
  • Demonstrate accountability for the completion of assigned tasks.
  • Encourage communication within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical or Science Field.
  • 0-5 years relevant experience in a technical discipline or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience with polymer characterization and testing instruments.
  • Training in laboratory safety and procedures.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
