Overview

Johns Manville is a leading manufacturer of premium-quality insulation and commercial roofing products, seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for their Penbryn, NJ plant. The role involves troubleshooting and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and facility-related functions to ensure efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct effective problem solving and troubleshooting to repair and maintain equipment and systems.
  • Perform mechanical preventative maintenance according to an established schedule.
  • Inspect machinery, lubricate, and make adjustments or repairs as needed.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment to identify issues and take corrective actions.
  • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints and sketches.
  • Complete work orders, requisitions, and inspection reports electronically.
  • Inspect and maintain plant buildings and may cast concrete forms as needed.
  • Operate mobile equipment as required.
  • Participate in the safety process and practice safe work habits.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years of verified experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence legibly.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with machine safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Ability to operate lift trucks and obtain necessary licenses.
